Tom Gallo has established himself as a fixture in the thoroughbred horse industry, rooted in 40 years of "from the ground up" experience. After learning the business while raising a family in Kentucky and working for such notable horseman as Spendthrift Farm's Leslie Combs, Eaton Sales' Lee Eaton, renowned equine veterinarian Dr. Robert Copelan, and trainer John Ward, Tom and his wife relocated in 1980 to upstate New York and opened their own business at Blue Stone Farm.

In 1982, Tom Gallo established the Thomas J. Gallo III Sales Agency, LLC, based at his Blue Stone Farm in Cambridge, NY just outside of Saratoga Springs, NY. With offices at Blue Stone Farm and in Saratoga Springs, he manages Parting Glass Racing, LLC horse partnerships, is on the board of the New York Thoroughbred Breeders, and provides horse management, appraisals, and expert witness services for clients throughout the country. He is also a guest lecturer for many educational forums, promoting and educating college students about the horse industry. Tom is a strong advocate for New York Breds and New York racing, and has been on the NYTB board of directors since 1996. Tom is currently the CEO and President of NYTB.

Tom sells yearlings, weanlings, and broodmares annually at auctions in New York, Maryland, and Kentucky. Tom and his wife, Dr. Mia Gallo, general manager of the farm operations, own and care for approximately twelve mares and foals at their 100-acre Blue Stone Farm. Tom and Mia have four grown children and reside at Blue Stone Farm.
